Writer's Guidelines
Like to write? Have a story to tell?
Then Roots and Wings is looking for you!
Roots and Wings prefers personal stories that
reflect your experience. They may be humorous; bring hope
and encouragement to other parents; provide useful tips and
information; or share a different perspective and belief.
Please remember, you don't need to be a professional
writer to submit an article. While writing should be of good
quality, Roots and Wings provides a forum for writers of varying
experience.
- Writers, please note the following:
Preference
will be given to articles written by South Shore residents
or those with a connection to this area.
Roots
and Wings does not accept articles that are intended as
an advertisement for a personal business, product or commercial
service. Nor will it pay for articles that benefit the writer's
service or business even indirectly.
Remuneration
is calculated at 0.25 per word. Payment is for first-time
North American rights for use in both Roots and Wings magazine
and in pdf format on the website. Over time, a selection
of articles will be posted to the website archives.
